Arthur Carneiro Ferreira Freitas
Arthur Freitas é arquiteto e urbanista pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF, 2023), mestrando em Gestão e Valorização do Património Histórico e Cultural, especialidade Património e Ambiente, na Universidade de Évora, Investigador do Projeto Know Africa, financiado pela Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) (ref. 2022.01599.PTDC) e membro do ICOMOS Novos Profissionais. Foi Mediador Cultural na Fundação Eugénio de Almeida (FEA, 2026) e estagiário na Superintendência do Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional no Rio de Janeiro (IPHAN-RJ, 2023) e no Instituto Estadual do Patrimônio Cultural (INEPAC, 2021-2023). Foi Iniciante Científico PIBIC/CNPq do Projeto Desenhando a Vila Real da Praia Grande na cidade de Niterói, pelo grupo de pesquisa Cidade como Documento da História Urbana (CiDHUrb, 2020-2023), desenvolvendo plataforma SIG com a cartografia da cidade de Niterói do século XIX.
Arthur Freitas is an architect and urban planner with a degree from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF, 2023), he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Management and Enhacement of Historical and Cultural Heritage, specializing in Heritage and the Environment, at the University of Évora, he is a researcher on the Know Africa Project, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) (ref. 2022.01599.PTDC) and a member of ICOMOS Young Professionals. He served as a Cultural Mediator at the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation (FEA, 2026) and as an intern at the Regional Office of the National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage in Rio de Janeiro (IPHAN-RJ, 2023) and at the State Institute of Cultural Heritage (INEPAC, 2021-2023). He was a PIBIC/CNPq Research Trainee on the project “Mapping Vila Real da Praia Grande in the City of Niterói”, conducted by the research group “The City as a Document of Urban History” (CiDHUrb), 2020-2023), where he developed a GIS plataform featuring 19-century maps of the city of Niterói.
