As suas \u00e1reas de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o incluem Hist\u00f3ria social medieval e moderna das institui\u00e7\u00f5es e de grupos profissionais, Hist\u00f3ria da Cartografia e Hist\u00f3ria Digital. Dentro da perspetiva das Humanidades Digitais, tem trabalhado com a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de metodologias ligadas a Sistemas de Informa\u00e7\u00e3o Geogr\u00e1fica (SIG\u2019s), An\u00e1lise de Redes, em particular na constru\u00e7\u00e3o de bases de dados e na produ\u00e7\u00e3o cartogr\u00e1fica digital, e participado em projeto de dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimentos de programa\u00e7\u00e3o e metodologias digitais para cientistas sociais e das humanidades. Como integrante da equipe KnowAfrica tem contribu\u00eddo para a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de metodologias digitais \u00e0 cartografia portuguesa de \u00c1frica no s\u00e9culo XIX, com foco no georreferenciamento e na incerteza topon\u00edmica.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eafc392 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"eafc392\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3285245 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3285245\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Lu\u00eds Ribeiro Gon\u00e7alves is a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre for History, Cultures and Societies (CIDEHUS) at the University of \u00c9vora, and a PhD candidate in Early Modern History in the Inter-University PhD Programme in History (PIUDHIST) at the University of \u00c9vora. He holds a master&#8217;s degree in Medieval History and a bachelor&#8217;s degree in Archaeology and History from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (FLUL). His research interests include the medieval and early modern social history of institutions and professional groups, the History of Cartography, and Digital History. Within the Digital Humanities, he has applied Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Network Analysis, particularly in database construction and digital cartographic production. He also participates in a project to disseminate programming skills and digital methodologies for social scientists and humanities scholars.
